ONLY Fools And Horses star Lennard Pearce met Adolf Hitler in the 1930s and missed an opportunity to assassjnat3 him.
Pearce, who played Granddad for 23 episodes, told pals he regretted not grabbing a g/u/n and kjlljng him and thereby preventing the Second World War.
He relayed the story to actor pal and Only Fools And Horses co-star Nicholas Lyndhurst, The Mirror reported.
Pearce di.3d from a heart attack aged 69 in December 1984.
Lyndhurst said: “He was a young actor touring Europe and they were playing some German city and the Nazis walked in.
“The top honchos of the Nazi party had seen the play and came to congratulate them afterwards. Lennard shook hands with Adolf Hitler.
Steve Clark, author of Only Fools and Horses – The Official Inside Story, described the tale as “remarkable”.
